Searches for luxury properties records more in Chennai



Over recent past, in India the mindset of people have turned into luxury homes due to increased salary package and increased number of high income group due to huge business growth. Initially, cities like Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi have witnessed this trend. But this trend has also entered into Chennai in the current years. An online survey has been performed in the near days to spot out the city that is recording maximum number of searches for luxury homes priced more than 1 crore. This survey was carried out across 8 major cities of the country, in which Chennai overtook other major metros of the country and took the first position, placing Delhi in second place and Bangalore at the third place.   


This study was the result that is based on the number of visits and searches over the luxury properties registered at the real estate sites in the year 2011-2012. This survey also reveals the information about the trends taking place in the listings of luxury properties over the last few years. Along with Chennai, cities like Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad also joins the new list of premium property market. The property priced around Rs.1 crore to 15 crore was narrowed in this survey. The survey also revealed that when compared to 2011, the year 2012 registered about 65% absorption rate in the property price between Rs 4 crore to 6 crore. This result also shows that Chennai holds the top place with maximum number of asset searches above the cost limit of Rupee one crore.  


This analysis also states that Neelankarai and Abhiramapuram are the two areas in Chennai to record maximum property sales of above Rs.1 to Rs.7 crore. In Bangalore, HSR layout and Shanthi Nagar are the places, EM Bypass and Malda in Kolkata, at Hyderabad Attapur and Sainikpuri, Baner Road and Kothrud in Pune, in Delhi Punjabi Bagh East, Bandra West and Parle East in Mumbai and finally comes the places Odhay and Ambli at Ahmadabad. Let us look at Chennai, the city has well developed at all phrases like social and physic infrastructure, education, culture etc. The recent metro rail project in the city has added more sense to the real estate sales. These infrastructural projects let people to invest in homes especially that are constructed by real estate builders.
